Recently, IGN updated their “25 best modern PC games” list. In view of the strong subjectivity, players just look at it. IGN says the PC gaming landscape has changed in recent years, both in terms of technological advancements in graphics cards and gaming monitors, and in the composition of IGN’s PC gaming staff and contributors. So aside from some really hardcore games, their list of modern PC games is very different from years past.
IGN also clarified that this list is not an attempt to select the best or most influential PC games of all time, nor is it a list of the most popular games of all time, and certainly not the best games in each game category. This list is just the most recommended games by IGN’s own game editors and contributors based on their own tastes, all from games released in the past 10 years.
