Musk denies cutting Twitter stake, says regulatory filing got numbers wrong

The day before, in a disclosure to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), it was revealed that Musk held a 9.2% stake in Twitter. Additionally, a Twitter account called @StockMKTNewz claims that Musk submitted an application to sell 371,900 Twitter shares, reducing his stake in the company to 9.1% from 9.2%.

In response, Musk posted a rebuttal. But Musk could be subject to a new SEC investigation, including a request for more disclosures, following the revelations of his massive purchase of Twitter stock.
