Tesla will hold a large-scale opening ceremony for its Austin, Texas factory on the afternoon of April 7, this event is called Cyber Rodeo. The Cyber Rodeo event is said to be a trip home for Tesla, as last year Tesla moved its headquarters from Palo Alto, California, to the Austin area.
It is worth mentioning that the name of the event is borrowed from the long-discussed Tesla electric pickup Cybertruck in the industry, which means that the company is ready to build this electric pickup in Texas Super Work.
The angular, futuristic truck is Tesla’s foray into the nascent electric pickup segment that automakers are counting on to persuade more Americans to go electric. Gas-guzzling pickups make up about 18 percent of the U.S. auto market and are a more lucrative product for auto companies, according to JD Power.
It is reported that the Austin plant and the Berlin plant, which opened last month, are expected to double Tesla’s annual production capacity to 2 million vehicles. Tesla is expected to make the relatively low-priced Model Y at its Texas plant.
