Google has started distributing version 7.5 of Android Auto. The update is now being received by users, but as always, it may take a while before it is offered to you. Version 7.5 has been tested as a beta for a few weeks now.
Android Auto: And the new design?
Some of you have certainly been waiting for the next and especially major update of Android Auto, because Google has been testing a new design for a while. However, the new “Coolwalk” interface is not yet finally included.
Which does not mean that version 7.5 is not the basis for the new design. It wouldn’t be the first time Google has distributed an update for Android Auto and then enabled a feature through the servers. But I suspect that you wait.
In a month’s time, Google I/O 2022 will take place and that would be a good time and place for a corresponding announcement. There is no changelog for version 7.5 of Android Auto, but if we find new features, we’ll share it here.
