Microsoft confirmed the establishment of the Android experience division, hinting at the vigorous integration of Windows 11 and Android

In a new job list, Microsoft has confirmed the integration of its Android work into a division called “Android Microsoft Platform and Experience”. The move could allow for further integration between Windows 11 and Android.

Earlier this week, Microsoft released several job checklists for its new division, Android Microsoft Platforms and Experiences, which aim to group apps/services Phone Link or Your Phone, SwiftKey, Microsoft Launcher, and other services including the Surface Duo Experience into one division, Windows Latest reported.

The worklist states: “The Android Microsoft platform and experience team is building the future. We’re a world-class platform, middleware, application, and services organization that delivers end-to-end experiences to life in a variety of form factors—supporting customers with powerful connectivity to Windows, M365, and Azure on the devices they use. ”

It’s unclear exactly how Microsoft plans to improve the Android experience, but significant improvements to applications like Phone Link and Microsoft Launcher are expected in the coming months.

According to a report by Windows Central, Microsoft has restructured to better develop software for Android. According to the restructuring plan announced in a memorandum by Microsoft Chief Product Officer (CPO) Panos Panay (the PP brother we are familiar with), Surface Duo OS, SwiftKey, Phone Link, Microsoft Launcher and other Android projects will become the new Android Microsoft Platforms and Experiences (AMPX) division.
