We are approaching the presentation of the Google Pixel Watch, the first highly anticipated smartwatch of the Mountain View giant, a device that for several months now has been at the center of a constant flow of rumors and various anticipations.
In recent weeks, rumors have become increasingly insistent that the US giant could launch this smartwatch in a few weeks, perhaps taking advantage of the opportunity represented by the 2022 edition of Google I/O, an event scheduled for next month and which could thus turn into the ideal showcase to give great prominence to the company’s first smartwatch.
The name Google Pixel Watch has been registered
Well, in the past few hours from the United States came to the confirmation that the new device of the Mountain View giant will actually be called Google Pixel Watch: this name, in fact, has been registered by Google, as we learn thanks to the site of the US Patent Office (USPTO).
And its description leaves no doubt about what is to be expected from “Pixel Watch”:
The registration of the PIXEL WATCH trademark is intended to cover the categories of smartwatches; cases suitable for holding smartwatches; wearable computers in the form of smartwatches; bands for smartwatches; smartwatch straps.
Although the USPTO database does not provide us with further details on Google’s first smartwatch, it confirms that its launch is approaching and that its official name will be the one used to date by enthusiasts and insiders to identify it.
Recall that in recent days the Mountain View giant has made a reorganization to its store as if to prepare the ground for the launch of its first smartwatch and in the following hours on the Net also appeared an image that shows us the alleged interface of the device.
Google I/O 2022 will take place on 11 and 12 May: in just over two weeks, therefore, we could finally discover this smartwatch so talked about for some years. We’ll see.
