OnePlus has just unveiled the new OnePlus 10R and Nord CE 2 Lite but the news for its range of smartphones is not over yet. On the launch pad, in fact, there would be several other novelties. In the testing phase, in fact, there would be at least one other device, characterized by the code name OnePlus Meili, which could officially debut very soon. The first rumors anticipate that behind the prototype in question hides a new component of the OnePlus Nord range. Let’s see the details:
OnePlus Meili: is it the code name of a new mysterious Nord smartphone?
To confirm the existence of the new OnePlus Meili (we repeat, it is a code name and not the commercial name of the product) was the magazine MySmartPrice which cites sources within the industry of the sector, without going into details. The project in question should expand the range of OnePlus Nord smartphones over the next few weeks or, at most, the next few months. Meili’s tests would already be at an advanced stage.
At the moment, however, there is no precise information regarding the technical specifications of the new OnePlus Meili. The smartphone could start to be talked about very soon, with some more precise details about the technical characteristics of the project. The official launch of the new OnePlus Meili could materialize between the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half of 2022.
The device could arrive on the market as the Name OnePlus Nord 3 which is expected to debut during the next month of July. It should be noted, however, that the OnePlus range should record, over the next few weeks, the debut of another Nord smartphone. This is the OnePlus Nord 2T, which has long been at the center of several rumors. The device is expected to debut in May and could be the true identity of the new OnePlus Meili.
According to the rumors of recent weeks, the new Nord 2T will be able to count on a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Among the specifications should also find space for the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC in addition to a 4,500 mAh battery with 80 W fast charging. To complete the datasheet there will be a triple rear camera with a 50 Megapixel main sensor.
Both the Nord 3 and the Nord 2T could carve out a space within the European range of OnePlus (the debut of the Nord 3 is practically a foregone conclusion). As a result, the Meili project, anticipated by today’s rumors, could really anticipate one of the next news coming between spring and summer for the OnePlus smartphone range.
