As part of the business figures, Nintendo revealed that it has sold exactly 107.65 million units since the switch was launched. The Nintendo Switch overtook the Wii as Nintendo’s most successful console in the last quarter.
Nintendo was able to sell over 4 million units in the first quarter, which is impressive for the first quarter and the age of the Switch. This brings the switch to around 23 million units in the old fiscal year (ending in March 2022).
The forecast for the coming (fiscal) year is somewhat more cautious at 21 million units but still very high in my opinion. Will we see new hardware in the form of a 4K switch during this period? This is uncertain.
