These Samsung phones won’t get Android 13 update

Google will roll out the Android 13 operating system later this year. Samsung is expected to start the One UI 5 beta for its Galaxy phones in July. Many of the current Galaxy smartphones and tablets will then receive Android 13. But not others.

Samsung offers up to four generations of major Android upgrades for Galaxy flagships and tablets released in 2021 or later. Older flagships like the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series came with two OS upgrades at the time of launch.

In August 2020, the Korean phone maker announced that all flagship Galaxy devices launched with Android 9-based One UI 1.x software will receive three major OS upgrades. This announcement made an additional Android update possible for the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series.

Unfortunately, that will not change the fact that the models in the two series will not receive another Android update, which means that Android 12 was the last major update for the models. And therefore they will not get an Android 13 update either.

These Samsung smartphones will not get Android 13

  • Galaxy Note 10
  • Galaxy Note 10+
  • Galaxy Note 10+ 5G
  • Galaxy S10
  • Galaxy S10e
  • Galaxy S10+
  • Galaxy S10 5G

This list is not yet complete, so other devices should end up on the list. However, it can be said that anything older than the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series will no longer receive Android 13.
