Diablo Immortal bans in Belgium and the Netherlands for microtransactions: Blizzard Response

Over the last few hours, a Diablo Immortal-themed controversy has arisen, Blizzard’s free to play coming in just over a week. What gave rise to everything is the impossibility of distributing the title in Belgium and the Netherlands due to the presence of microtransactions.

The exclusion of Diablo Immortal from these two markets has not gone down to the development team, which has decided to make some statements regarding the microtransactions present in the game. The principal designer Joe Grubb has in fact defended the possibility of making purchases in-game, since in the case of Diablo Immortal there will be no type of advantage for those who use the credit card.

Grubb reiterated that is free to play there is no possibility to proceed with the purchase of equipment or bonuses for the experience and that the only way through which you can become stronger is simply to play. The only purchases are related to the skins, the battle pass (with the opportunity to buy the levels) and bonuses that allow you to have rewards guaranteed in the Rift.

In short, Blizzard has tried to have its say, also confirming how the game can be downloaded and played in its entirety without spending a cent, not to mention that all future updates will be free. Waiting to find out how the issue will evolve, we remind you that Diablo Immortal will also arrive on PC next June 2, 2022.
