Following a leak of information from Crytek’s official websites, some concept art related to the latest works by the German studio, known for the Crysis series and the CryEngine graphics engine, has been posted on the Reddit pages.
As you can see through the Twitter we reported below, the leaked concept art shows in succession a sort of human incubation chamber, a communication structure with large holograms and patrolling androids, a very elaborate space station on a planet aesthetically similar to the Moon, and another station with a spaceship on a desert planet.
The leaker who first showed the images on Reddit said the artwork came from a new Crytek game but refrained from clarifying whether it was Crysis 4 or a completely different project. The science-fiction theme is certainly recurring in the shooter series, and one of the concept art clearly shows nano suits.
However, there are Sci-Fi elements that seem to go beyond the shooter’s narrative universe, and which could therefore relate to a second project. Crysis 4 will be a true next-gen shooter in Crytek’s words, and the game will be edited by the same game director as Hitman 3.
