Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be equipped with a thinner hinge and the main camera will be upgraded to 50 MP

The well-known domestic digital blogger @ibing universe tweeted that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be equipped with a slimmer hinge and will use the same camera as the Galaxy S22. The tweet states that the new hinge will make the Z Fold 4 sleeker than its predecessor, making the phone feel sleeker overall.

In addition, he also shared the specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the tweet, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. This sounds very similar to the camera system of the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus and represents an upgrade from the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s 12-megapixel triple-camera.

The phone will reportedly feature a 7.6-inch inner screen and a 6.2-inch outer display, just like the Galaxy Z Fold 3. According to Ice Universe, it will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and will have a 4,400 mAh battery with 25-watt fast charging.

Samsung usually announces new foldable phones in August, so chances are we’ll hear about the Galaxy Z Fold 4 closer to the fall. Rumors also suggest that a new type of Samsung foldable may be in the works, so it’s possible the company could launch this new device alongside the reportedly leaked Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4.
