God of War features a huge variety of gear, most notably Kratos’ wearable armor pieces. These are divided into three slots: bust, arms and hips, with always different statistics, often with bonuses related to complete sets. In particular, two of these are particularly powerful – here’s how to get them.
The sets we are talking about are that of the fog and that of the Valkyries, both end game contents and for which you will have to work a little. To get them you will need to first unlock the secret kingdom of Niflheim, and face the labyrinth of Ivaldi’s laboratory several times, a procedural area that will reset each time.
How to get the fog set
The armor in question is actually available in three different versions, each with a combination of different stats. To get the nine pieces you will have to go into Ivaldi’s laboratory and look for the various chests that will appear randomly in the areas of the kingdom. Once you have obtained at least three pieces of equipment of the same type (divided into the torso, arms and hips) you can craft the set, which will start from level 7.
However, to upgrade it to the maximum you will have to return to the intricate dungeon to collect as many echoes of the fog as possible, as well as other materials, all of which can be found in Niflheim.
How to get the Valkyrie set
The other most powerful set of God of War is that of the Valkyries, who in the adventure of Kratos and Atreus represent fearsome bosses scattered around the game map. As in the previous case, here too there will be three pieces needed to obtain the basic version of the armor, so you just need to defeat the same number of winged warriors.
If, on the other hand, your goal is to wear the maximum power offered by this set, then your hunt will cover all nine Valkyries, including Queen Sigrun. Furthermore, the kingdom of Niflheim will be indispensable for obtaining the materials useful for crafting and the enhancement of the various pieces.
