OnePlus wants to make a feature loved by its fans more exclusive

In the last few days, there have been rumors about some new smartphones that OnePlus would be preparing to launch, one of which should be the OnePlus 10 or, according to others, the OnePlus 10T.

Waiting to find out what will be the official name of the next high-end smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer, a rumor has begun to make its way on the Net that could make many of the fans of this brand turn up their noses: it seems, in fact, that the team OnePlus has decided to remove a much-loved feature such as the Alert Slider (known as the OnePlus Alert Slider).

At least that’s what Yogesh Brar claims on Twitter, saying that this feature in the future will be an exclusive feature of some premium models.

OnePlus may be missing out on a much-loved feature

In particular, according to the leaker OnePlus Nord 2T it should be the last mid-range model of the Chinese manufacturer to be able to boast the slider for the alerts while in the future this feature will be reserved for the Pro versions and some flagship models of OPPO.

And to infuriate the fans of the Chinese manufacturer could also be the decision to introduce this feature in some OPPO smartphones, depriving them of this gem instead of the “normal” versions of the next generations of the company’s flagship (such as for example, the hypothetical OnePlus 11 or 12).

At this point, to find out more, we will have to wait for the launch of the device codenamed Ovaltine, that is OnePlus 10 or 10T, the main features of which should not be missing a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 8+ Gen 1, a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 32-megapixel front camera, a 4,800 mAh battery and OxygenOS 12.

It will be interesting to find out how the manufacturer justifies this decision.
