Tesla Model Y German variant battery life test: one of the highest levels in its class

Recently, Bjørn Nyland, a well-known Norwegian electric vehicle test blogger, conducted a mileage test on the Tesla Model Y Performance made in Germany (MIG), and the results were well received. Test vehicle: German-made Tesla Model Y Performance with 21-inch wheels. Test environment: 18-19°C. Test results: Under the condition of 90km/h, the average energy consumption is 146Wh/km; at 120km/h, the average energy consumption is 205Wh/km.

Assuming that the available battery capacity is 74-74.4K Wh, then at a speed of 90km/h and 120km/h, the final cruising range of the car is 510km and 361km, becoming one of the highest-level models in cross-border pure electric SUVs.

After the endurance test of 510 kilometers at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour, Bjørn Nyland also used a German-made Tesla Model Y Performance for a long-distance test of 1,000 kilometers.

  • Start: 100% state of charge (SOC)
  • Temperature: 17-24°C (average 20°C)
  • Total time: 9 hours 45 minutes
  • Average speed (total): 102.6 km/h (64 mph)
  • Average energy consumption: 228Wh/km (367Wh/mile)

Number of charging stations: 6

Average distance between charging stations: Total: 143 km (89 miles); excluding initial segment: 131 km (82 miles). Charging points: 1, after 212 kilometers (132 miles); 2, after 363 kilometers (226 miles); 3, after 512 kilometers (318 miles); 4, after 662 kilometers (411 miles); 5, after 814 kilometers (506 miles) ); 6, 955 km (594 miles).

It is worth noting that the blogger has also tested the Model Y long-life version made in China (MIC) before, and the overall results are similar to the German version.
