The VR / AR viewer that Apple is preparing to launch on the market will be equipped with the powerful M2 chip and 16 GB of RAM, according to a rumor reported by Bloomberg.
Out in 2022 according to some rumors, Apple’s VR / AR viewer could adopt the latest technologies of the Cupertino house instead of opting for an M1, the latter thesis supported by the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In reality, there is the possibility that the device adopts a multi-chip configuration: it was talked about some time ago, but the most plausible hypothesis is that the Cupertino house has replaced the processors by switching to the most recent and powerful version.
As you recall, Apple announced an M2-processor MacBook Air at WWDC 2022, revealing that in terms of CPU it will be 18% faster and in terms of GPU 35% faster than the M1.
Bloomberg also spoke of an allocation of RAM memory equal to 16 GB: an aspect that would make the viewer much more powerful than the Meta Quest 2, equipped with 6 GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chipset.
