Diablo Immortal takes $ 540,000 to fully upgrade a character

According to a new calculation made by the players of Diablo Immortal to upgrade a character to the maximum would need a good 540,000 dollars in microtransactions, rather than the previously estimated $ 110,000.

The previous calculation considered the hypothetical sum to spend to obtain 6 legendary gems of the highest rarity for your character through the legendary crests. As explained at the time, a total of $ 110,000 or a playing time of around 10 years would have been required.

However, it was later discovered that each legendary gem, once raised to maximum level when equipped with a rank 6 piece of equipment, unlocks 5 slots in which as many gems can be allocated.

It goes without saying then that to maximize a character’s stats you need 36 legendary gems, raising the total cost to $ 540,000. The price includes the “dawning echo” required to awaken the gems, which cost 1,000 eternal orbs in the shop, or $ 30.

We reiterate once again that maximizing a character in Diablo Immortal is not necessary to take advantage of the contents of the Blizzard title. That said, this new estimate will likely only accentuate the controversy surrounding the game’s microtransactions.
