Google plans to give an update about Chromecast with Google TV dongle later in August. In that updates should be about Google Pixel series phones and Chromecast with Google TV security patches since its launch in 2020. When a large amount of change is made it comes through Play Store, for now, Chromecast collaborates with the nest camera for video recording.
After so long Chromecast and Google TV only get an update about a single Android security update in mid-July. Due to this update, Google starts publishing security specific same as Pixel phones for “Chromecast devices”.
The page notice that new security bulletins are published quarterly about the Chromecast with Google TV. The note says that when an update is published Chromecast devices receive OTA updates in the same month. We expect that an update comes in August on Chromecast with Google TV.
There is no information about fixing issues with the Chromecast. July update only featured the May 2022 security level, the August patch update falls exactly one quarter of a year later.
We don’t know further regarding Chromecast and Google TV until the Pixel series gets its version of that patch. Usually, they launch on the First Monday of the month but now that is not possible yet.
