Google recently unveiled the Android 13 stable update for its Pixel devices. Pixel device owners have already got Android 13 stable to update on their respective devices. Android 13 introduced over 100 improvements, including the latest UI design, easter eggs, and a few more.
As we all know that Android 13 introduced many new features, one of these features is the QR code scanner which is rolled out with the help of Android 13. QR code scanner can be accessed through quick settings.
For some time it was being speculated that this feature will also come in older versions of Android as there is no valid reason for not having it.
Google has not yet made any such intention. But Google should also roll out this feature for their older Android versions as there are some devices that are not eligible for Android 13, so device owners will also be able to enjoy this great feature.
All Android 13 adds is a configurable (at the build level) Quick Setting tile and lock screen shortcut that can launch either GMS’s QR scanner or the OEM’s.
