Silence incoming calls will be in Pixel 6

Previously last year, you use Hey Google to do some tasks through Google Assistant on your phone. In October 2021 Google launched Pixel 6, with this you can speak some other commands and skip sometimes “Hey Google” words. Then the company expands this feature to different languages.

Now, In Pixel 6 there are quick commands “stop” or “snooze” for alarms and “answer” or “decline” for incoming calls. If there is an option to silence incoming calls, then it will also be very useful when users are in a meeting or busy. Google will set Silence incoming calls in Pixel 6. As per reference, the company plans to use “Silence” as a quick phrase.

About Silence incoming calls feature:

  • You can understand through this quick phrase name that it will use for Silence incoming calls in Pixel 6. You can also decide whether you want to receive or reject incoming calls.
  • For silent incoming calls you have to use the volume rocker to mute incoming calls. Right now, it’s testing, and its name is “v2” of Quick phrase for calls.

The company has not confirmed yet when this is rolling publicly to owners of Pixel 6. Maybe they will release it with a new feature of Pixel or could be possible to launch it with the Pixel 7 series.

With Google Assistant-powered smart speakers and displays, users use Quick phrase to snooze the alarm or stop that. There also enable some more tasks to be done without saying Hey Google like the switch to the next media list, resetting the timer, canceling all alarms, checking the weather, and more. Google may be working on these features and will roll them out later.
