Pixel 6 Pro’s Face Unlock Support won’t for the previous models

On 6 October, Google launched its latest phone version Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro along with Pixel Watch. Now, Pixel 6 Pro is enabled to support the Face unlocking feature. This feature is also available in the Pixel 7 Series as a convenience function, but it can’t be used as a security function. The Google Pixel 7 series is mainly based on the combination of Google Tensor G2 and the front camera.

It is not clear yet there is other sensor data is also consulted for depth data. If this feature has built-in dual-pixel autofocus then only possible. With the Pixel 7 (Pro), Face Unlock is only available as a biometric feature of class 1 as per Android compatibility. This means that it works for unlocking the smartphone.
