Recently, with the Google Meet Picture-in-Picture feature for Chrome, in this, you can raise your hand, access flexible layouts, and more. Now, Google Meet plan to bring the new feature “On-the-Go” mode which layout is safe and convenient to stay in the video call. This feature will admit new participants to the meeting while video calls without distraction.
The current interface on the Google Meet app you noticed that when you add a new member during a video call it bit noisy and sometimes distracted. Now, this On-the-Go feature will add new members to the meeting in a very convenient way. As per the design of this feature, you can assume that this feature is made for walking meetings.
After the Google Meet On-the-Go feature release, you can access this feature in two ways, when you are walking and your phone senses it and then it notify and change to travel-friendly mode. You can also set this through a new option in the menu.
When the Google Meet On-the-Go feature enables, it will turn off your camera during the call and stop streaming video from other members. After that, you can see a new design UI where you can easily control buttons for Mute, Audio, Raise (your hand), and more.
When you stop moving or traveling you can switch back normal Google Meet UI.
