LG Rollable mobile phone with scrolling screen leaked

Recently, @FrontTron revealed new news about LG Rollable on Twitter. It is known that it is passing the radio certification of the Korean Communications Regulatory Agency, and it is expected to arrive later this year. Although there is news that LG intends to abandon the underperforming mobile device business in the market, the LG Rollable smartphone that was hinted at during CES 2021 still makes us full of expectations for non-foldable flexible screen applications.

The first picture shows the length and width of the LG Rollable in the contracted state, which is basically the same as that shown in the trailer. The difference is that we can clearly see the front camera (or another sensor element) located at the top border. On April 5, 2021, the new LG G5, code-named LM-R910N, was certified by the Korean Telecom Regulatory Authority.

Unfortunately, in accordance with LG’s just revealed intentions, the company’s 3,000 employees in the mobile device department will be relocated to other departments (such as home appliances). Finally, there are reports that companies such as Samsung and TCL are also actively preparing similar concept equipment. As for whether they will be released in 2021, it is currently unknown.
