Chrome optimizes the PWA feature for the productivity suite

Microsoft and Google are strengthening cooperation to improve the PWA application experience on Windows 10 and other desktop platforms. In the upcoming new version of Chrome, Google plans to introduce a new feature called Desktop PWA Sub Apps. This feature is mainly aimed at office productivity suites such as Google Office or Microsoft Office.

For example, the Office suite provides an e-mail client, Word editor, PowerPoint and Excel. The new PWA feature improves the overall experience by allowing users to have each feature in their own separate window.

In one instance, Google explained that this proposal allows users to access each feature in their own separate window. For example, if the application is a virtual desktop PWA, the user can open a word processing application in one window and open the terminal in another video.

The company pointed out: Through a multi-icon PWA, users only need to install it once to access different functions by launching the icon. According to an article on the Chromium platform, Google has begun to test support for this feature through an experimental logo called Sub Apps, but it seems to have no effect in the current Canary version.
