Google today announced the new design of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro on its official blog. The full text is as follows: In 2016, we launched the first Pixel. Our goal is to provide people with a more helpful and smartphone. Over the years, we have introduced features such as HDR+ and Night Sight, using artificial intelligence (AI) to create beautiful images with computational photography. In the following years, we applied a powerful speech recognition model to establish Recorder, which can record, transcribe and search audio clips on the device.
Thanks #TeamPixel for hanging out for a preview of our first inside and out Google phones, #Pixel6 and #Pixel6 Pro.

Artificial intelligence is the future of our innovative work, but the problem is that we have encountered computational constraints that prevent us from fully fulfilling our mission. Therefore, we are beginning to build a technology platform for mobile devices that can bring the most innovative artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML) to our Pixel users. We started to build our own system on chip (SoC) to power the Pixel 6. Today, a few years later, it is insight.
Alright. One last piece of info: #Pixel6 and #Pixel6 Pro, powered by the brand new Google Tensor chip, are coming this fall. 🎉
That’s all we’re going to share for now. 🤐

Tensor is our first SoC customized specifically for Pixel phones, and it will power Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro this fall. Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will debut this fall, when we will share all the details that are usually released at the conference, such as new features, technical specifications, and pricing and availability. But today, we give you a preview of the future.
Design
These new phones redefine the meaning of Pixel. From the new design that combines the beautiful aesthetic of the entire software and hardware with the Android 12 system to the new Tensor SoC, everything with Pixel has become better. We also upgraded the rear camera system. The improved sensor and lens are now too large to fit into the traditional square-therefore, the new design gives the entire camera system a new home, the camera bar. Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro also have new materials and surface treatments, such as Pro’s lightweight polished aluminum frame and 6’s matte aluminum surface. They will feel good in your hands.
Material You will be best on #Pixel6.
The colors, the camera, the form, and what’s on the screen all work together in a single, fluid experience.

Material You Design Language
Google announced Android 12 and the new Material You design language at the GoogleI/O conference. Through Material You, we combine color science with years of interactive design and engineering work. These user interface updates are based on a new animation and design framework-making your Pixel feel extremely natural because everything runs smoothly on the Tensor chip.
Tensor
Tensor is built for the way people use mobile phones today and the way people use mobile phones in the future. As more and more functions are driven by artificial intelligence and ML, this is not just adding more computing resources, but using ML to unlock specific experiences for our Pixel users. The team that designed our chip wanted to make Pixel more capable. For example, for Tensor, we considered each piece of the chip and customized it to run Google’s computational photography model. For users, this means brand new functions and improvements to existing functions.
Tensor enables us to make the Google phones we have always envisioned-phones are constantly getting better, while digging out the most powerful parts of Google, all of which are highly personalized experiences. With Tensor’s new security kernel and Titan M2, Pixel 6 will have the most hardware security layer of all phones.
From completely innovative camera systems to voice recognition and more, you will see this. Therefore, whether you want to take family photos when the children are unwilling to stand still, or you want to communicate with relatives in another language, Pixel will not stand idly by at this time, and it will be more helpful than ever.
We look forward to sharing more information about Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro later this year.
Alright, let’s talk UI.
Remember Material You from I/O?
