The new feature of QuietComfort 45 is USB-C charging, and the playback time for a single charge is up to 24 hours. Thanks to the addition of a fourth microphone, QC45 also provides better voice pickup. The synthetic leather earmuff pads and headband are designed to provide a sense of luxury in the competitive space including the popular Sony XM4 headphones and AirPods Max. The two modes allow users to choose between complete noise reduction (silent mode) and simultaneous listening to the environment and music (Aware mode).
