Galaxy Watch 4 users can now talk to each other thanks to the new walkie-talkie feature. It is a new app from Samsung that is available in the Google Play Store. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is a watch with Wear OS and Samsung’s own One UI Watch shell on top. This means that the smartwatch on the one hand has access to a wide range of apps from the Google Play Store, the apps from Google and the apps that Samsung itself develops.
The manufacturer has now added a new app to the Play Store specifically for the Watch 4, XDA Developers know. The walkie-talkie app does exactly as its name suggests, as you can easily communicate with friends who have the same watch as you. It’s a feature that’s been working on the Apple Watch for some time, so Samsung was only too happy to offer similar functionality.

How It Works
Once you have installed the app, you must first pair your watch with your friend’s, and that works using a matching PIN code. Samsung recommends that your watch is connected to your phone during installation, although the function can then work completely independently on your smartwatch. Then, if you want to talk to your friend, press and hold the microphone button in the WalkieTalkie app to send voice messages.
