Microsoft released KB5008295 update for Windows 11 that solved screenshot bug

Today, Microsoft officially pushed the update patch numbered KB5008295, which puts an end to this bug. According to Microsoft’s official announcement, KB5008295 fixes a known issue that can prevent some users from opening or using some built-in Windows applications or part of some built-in applications.

The reason for this problem is that the Microsoft digital certificate has expired on October 31, 2021. This problem will affect the following applications:

  • Screenshot tool
  • Set the account page and landing page in the application (only in S mode)
  • Touch keyboard, voice typing and emoji panel
  • The input method editor user interface adopts IME UI standard
  • Getting started and tips.

In addition to this screenshot bug that we are already familiar with, the patch pushed this time also fixes another bug. Previously, when Windows 11 is in S mode, there may be a bug that the Start menu and Settings cannot be opened normally. This bug is also fixed in this patch.

It is reported that the Microsoft level has already pushed the KB5008295 patch for all users of the Beta and Release Preview channels. Users who are already in the corresponding channel but have not received the push can manually check the update in the settings.
