Windows 11 ushered in new improvements to airplane mode and notification center changes

We know that Windows 11 introduces a new quick settings menu, replacing the previous action center, notifications are placed in a separate module above the calendar. The quick setting of Windows 11 is a bit similar to the design of Windows 10X. It allows you to directly enable functions such as airplane mode without going through the menu or Windows settings.

For example, now you open the Windows 11 quick settings menu and click on the airplane icon to turn off all wireless connections, including cellular networks, WiFi and Bluetooth. However, this also brings some inconveniences, such as turning on the flight mode on an airplane, and unable to use Bluetooth headsets and so on.

Now, Microsoft wants to improve on this. Microsoft is developing a new feature that can remember when the user turns on Bluetooth or WiFi when the airplane mode is turned on in Windows 11. For example, if you manually turn on Bluetooth when the device is in airplane mode, Microsoft will remember your preferences, and Bluetooth will be automatically enabled the next time you switch to airplane mode.

Microsoft officially stated that this new feature allows users to better maintain the Bluetooth headset connection when traveling. As shown in the screenshot above, when the user’s preferences are saved in the cloud, Windows 11 will remind the user to notify the setting.

In addition, everyone knows that the notification center design of Windows 11 is different from that of Windows 10. The notification floating window of Windows 11 is popped up by the calendar, and users can click on the date and time to access the notification source. Now, this design has to be changed.

Microsoft is making a series of changes to improve the Windows 11 notification center experience. In the latest Windows 11 preview update, Microsoft has made the three high-priority notifications in the Windows 11 notification center stacked and displayed at the same time. This new feature is undergoing A/B testing.

It is understood that this feature will be applied to high-priority notifications, such as functions and applications related to calls, reminders, and alarms. The new design of the Windows 11 notification center can reduce clutter, so that the notification center can accommodate up to four notification messages, including three high-priority notifications and one ordinary notification.

Microsoft is currently developing improvements to the notification center in the channel and a small group of users. This new feature is not yet available in all tests. In addition, Microsoft is also experimenting with new customization options for the start menu and taskbar. However, as always, there is no plan for when these interesting improvements will be officially launched, but you can expect them to be part of the next major Windows 11 update, which is scheduled for October 2022. Or come in November.
