As is well known, Google tests smaller functions and improvements in its apps from time to time, which initially only a small part of the user community gets to see. This is also the case in Google Photos, where reports say there is a new test in which so-called “chips”, i.e. suggestions, are displayed if there is text in the photo, what you could do with it within Google Photos.
So far it has worked at least once to open the displayed text in Google Lens. Now, with the chips, more options like Copy Text, Listen, Crop, and Highlight are added. It doesn’t really offer new features, but rather shortcuts to popular text-in-image functions.
