PS5 and PS4, PlayStation Plus no longer works after the update?

PS5 and PS4 today received a new system update which however seems to be giving some problems, in particular with the PlayStation Plus: according to the reports of several users on social networks, the subscription is not recognized by the consoles.

As we reported earlier, speaking in general of the problems with the PSN after today’s update, something must not have gone right with the installation of the latest firmware, hence the inconveniences that many players are experiencing in the attempt to access online services.

Specifically, when trying any multiplayer game, the warning appears on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 that “PlayStation Plus is required to access this feature”, even if you have an active subscription.

Let’s imagine that Sony is aware of this and is working to solve the problem, perhaps through an additional server-side update that restores the functionality of PlayStation Plus for subscribers, or through a hotfix to be released quickly.

Speaking of today’s update, among other things the arrival of VRR in the coming months on PS5 has been confirmed, even with an option to force this feature with games that do not support it.
