Twitter’s Android app will finally support free copying of tweets

Twitter’s Android App has not supported the free selection of tweets for copying for many years, and the iOS version does not have this limitation. Recently, Jane Manchun Wong, who is known for reverse engineering apps to find new features, said that Twitter will allow Android users to freely choose text in tweets. You can see this latest feature in the picture below, but it has not yet been implemented.

The current Twitter Android App will copy the entire tweet when long-pressing the tweet, and display the notification “Copied to the clipboard”. For Android phone users who don’t have a “Big Bang”-like feature, selecting some tweets is almost impossible.

It’s not clear why Twitter has changed this feature that hasn’t changed for many years, but it’s good news for users.
