Replaced, the interesting action-adventure developed by Sad Cat Studios exclusively for Xbox has been postponed: the game will not be able to come out before 2023 and the authors have written a message to explain the reasons for this decision.
Considered one of the surprises of E3 2021, Replaced has encountered great difficulties due to the fact that the studio that is making it is composed of Belarusian and Ukrainian developers, and the events of the last few months have been quite difficult.
“Unfortunately the war in Ukraine had a heavy impact on Replaced’s development, as most of the authors live in the areas close to the conflict. Sad Cat’s priority, however, is the safety of the team and their families, which is why. that production has been relocated and work has only recently begun.”
“Publisher Coatsink, parent company Thunderful and development team Sad Cat Studios have therefore decided to move the release window to 2023 to ensure that the game can make its debut in the best possible conditions.”
“We are continuing to work hard to bring you the quality you expect after the trailer, but at the same time we try to prioritize the physical and mental health of the authors, without forcing the original deadlines which have inevitably been compromised.”
A similar situation is also involving Mundfish, the Atomic Heart team, which has left Moscow and resumed work on the game.
