Street Fighter 6 in action: Confirmed release on PS5 and PS4 in 2023

Undoubtedly Capcom is proving to be a protagonist of the PlayStation State of Play on June 2, 2022. After having officially announced Resident Evil 4 Remake, it was the turn of Street Fighter 6, which thus returns to show itself after the short teaser trailer last February.

As expected by Jeff Grubb, who had suggested the presence of Street Fighter 6 at the State of Play, Sony’s digital stage turns out to be the perfect theater to finally be able to see the real gameplay of the new episode of the historic 2D fighting series in action, that in the new trailer alternates cutscenes and combat with a spectacular and engaging cut.

The very first names of the roster have also been confirmed: if the veteran Ryu and the newcomer Luke (introduced in the last season of Street Fighter V ) were already known, the iconic Chun-Li and another new face of the franchise are also added to the fight, Jamie.

Also through the trailer, the Japanese company also confirms that Street Fighter 6 will arrive in the course of 2023 not only on PlayStation 5 but also on PlayStation 4 . There are no more details for the moment on a more precise launch window, in any case, it will be the debut of the series on next-generation consoles.

All that remains is to wait for further updates in the near future, including game modes, story, and the other members of the roster.
