iOS 16 supported models list announced

Apple held the WWDC22 Global Developers Conference and officially released the new iOS 16 system. According to Apple’s plan, iOS 16 Beta 1 will be available as a developer later today, with a public beta for the general public expected next month, and the official release until this fall.

What everyone cares most about is, which iPhone models Apple iOS 16 supports. Now Apple has officially announced the answer: iOS 16 requires iPhone 8 or later. This means that the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, and the first-generation iPhone SE will all be abandoned by iOS 16. No way, these models are too old to guarantee the smoothness of iOS 16 in terms of performance.

Here is a list of all iPhone models compatible with iOS 16:

  • iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone XS and XS Max
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max
  • iPhone 12 and 12 Mini
  • iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max
  • iPhone 13 and 13 mini
  • iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max
  • iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)
