Today Blizzard has released a new gameplay trailer for Overwatch 2 which presents the fighting skills of the Queen of Junker, the new hero shooter character that players will be able to try out during the beta scheduled for the end of June.
The Junker Queen is a tank specializing in close-range combat. Her main weapon is a shotgun of sorts, but she also uses an ax that leaves wounds on enemies, dealing damage over time while healing her thanks to her passive ability.
She also holds a throwing knife used to hit distant or flying enemies, such as Pharah. If she gets stuck in an opponent’s body, you can also drag them to you using the character’s magnetic glove, a bit like Roadhog does with her hook.
The Junker Queen’s other ability is an area buff that increases her maximum health and that of her companions, while also granting her a movement speed bonus of 30%. Finally, with her Ultimate, Carnage, the character throws himself among the enemy ranks with the ax, inflicting damage and wounds to the unfortunates on duty.
The Junker Queen will be among the heroes available in the Overwatch 2 beta which opens on June 28, here’s how to sign up if you’re interested. The full game debut is scheduled for October 4th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
