The body is 11.3 mm thick and weighs 2.7 pounds (about 1.22 kg). With an all-aluminum metal unibody design, the volume is 20% smaller than the previous generation.
The new MacBook Air still uses a fanless design. In addition to silver and space gray, there are two new appearances of midnight and starlight. It is also equipped with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display that supports 500 nits of brightness and 1 billion colors, 2 Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories, and a 3.5mm audio jack that supports high-impedance headphones.
