Red Dead Online will no longer receive any major update in the words of Rockstar Games, with the software house that hasn’t distributed an important update for the title for a year now. The community has therefore organized itself to give the final greeting to the online multiplayer sector of Red Dead Redemption 2.
The latest big update for Red Dead Online, Blood Money, was released on July 13, 2021, and while not an absolute fan favorite it has added a number of new activities that western game outlaws have had their way with nice to do.
It also seemed to be a clear sign of a return to a more regular update schedule, as it was only released seven months after the previous major update. However, it was not the beginning of something, but its end.
Tomorrow marks 1 year since the final update to Red Dead Online.
Players all across the community should meet up, find others to play with and celebrate the game we love, the good times we’ve had and the friends we’ve made.

After a few weeks of online planning and viral social media posts, players are back in Red Dead Online to say goodbye to what could have been. As you can see below, many are visiting the cemeteries scattered around the map, taking photos, having a drink or two and meeting other players to commemorate the tragic moment together.
“Today is the day the community pays tribute to a game that many of us love and wish it would get more love from Rockstar,” said user Dirty Tyler on Twitter. “So log in today and have a few beers at Valentine or Blackwater Graveyard. ” Others shared similar messages,
All this does not mean that the game will no longer be up and running, however, new features such as bounty hunter missions, season passes, weapons, mounts and more will no longer be introduced. Rockstar Games is fully focused on Grand Theft Auto and, in addition to continuing support for the immortal GTA Online, has moved the assets of Red Dead Online to GTA 6.
