OnePlus is committed to releasing more devices this year. With the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, this promise is now being kept and the portfolio is being increased (again).
A 6.43-inch (approx. 16 cm) AMOLED panel is emblazoned on the front of the Nord 2T 5G. Dissolves in Full HD+ and offers a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Support for HDR10+ is also included. Inside the device, which weighs 190 grams, is a new chip, the MediaTek Dimensity 1300.
It was manufactured using the 6 nm process and offers an 8-core structure with four A78 cores and a clock speed of up to 3 GHz. 5G support is also included. Up to 12 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 256 GB of storage space (UFS 3.1) are also available.
A triple camera setup is used on the back. The Sony IMX766 provides the optically stabilized main sensor with 50 megapixels and an aperture of f/1.8. In addition, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view in the Nord 2T 5G.
A mono lens has 2 megapixels. On the front, it’s the 32-megapixel lens (IMX 615) from the previous models, which is also in the OnePlus 10 Pro. All in all, almost identical camera modules as in the OnePlus Nord 2 5G.
New to the party is the support for Sony’s DOL_HDR – which is supposed to play to its strengths in video recordings. In addition, a slow-motion recording with 960 FPS is now available. The Nightscape mode is also said to have increased.
A 4,500 mAh battery is in the device. With 80-watt SuperVOOC, this can be pumped up even faster than the previous model. A full charge is possible within 27 minutes. And otherwise? The Nord 2T 5G comes with OxygenOS 12.1. OnePlus guarantees 2 years of updates and 3 years of security patches. Wi-Fi 6 is built-in, as is an X-axis vibration motor.
Cost point? 399 euros for the variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space. 499 euros are due for 12 GB of RAM and twice the storage space of 256 GB. The color variants are Gray Shadow (black) and Jade Fog (green), with the former finish being matte. The green color option is also reserved for the small storage variant.
